# How conversations work

Every conversation with Sol starts the same way: ***"What's brought you here today?"*** From there, Sol follows you. There's no menu, no prompt list, no mood tracker. Just a conversation.

## Opening a conversation <a href="#h_7e3601ae15" id="h_7e3601ae15"></a>

You can start anywhere. You don't need to explain who you are or catch Sol up. If you have an account and Sol has a memory of you, he already knows the context. If you're new, he'll build it as you go.

## How Sol responds <a href="#h_645f9d34ad" id="h_645f9d34ad"></a>

Sol listens more than he speaks. He reflects. He asks questions. When he offers something - a perspective, a suggestion - it's because the moment has called for it. He doesn't work through a script.

## Conversation history <a href="#h_354ac36362" id="h_354ac36362"></a>

Your conversations are saved to your account once you've signed up. You can access past conversations from the sidebar. Unnamed conversations are listed by date.
