# Not a replacement for treatment

Solomon is a companion and support tool. It is not a clinical treatment, a medical intervention, or a substitute for professional care.

## When professional support is needed <a href="#h_2cdb1dc43f" id="h_2cdb1dc43f"></a>

If you are physically dependent on alcohol, if you are in crisis, if you have co-occurring mental health conditions requiring clinical management, or if you need structured detox - professional support is required. Solomon can be a companion alongside professional care, but it cannot replace it.

## Where Solomon fits <a href="#h_ef7e086db4" id="h_ef7e086db4"></a>

Solomon is at its most useful as a daily companion: a place to process, reflect, stay motivated, and build the habits of thought that sustain change over time. It complements professional support - it doesn't compete with it.
