# Resetting your memory

A memory reset clears everything Sol knows about you. After a reset, Sol will treat you as a new user. Your account remains active. Your conversation history remains intact. Only the memory summary is removed.

Contact support with the subject line Memory Reset Request and the email address associated with your account.

An in-app memory reset option is planned as part of the account settings page.

## Memory reset vs account deletion <a href="#h_6abb83a478" id="h_6abb83a478"></a>

A memory reset removes what Sol knows about you, but keeps your account, conversation history, bookmarks, and Journal. Account deletion removes everything.
