# Using on behalf of others

Solomon is designed to be used by the person opening it - in the first person, as part of their own recovery journey. It is not designed to be used by one person on behalf of another.

## If you're worried about someone else's drinking <a href="#h_oboh_worried" id="h_oboh_worried"></a>

Drinkline: 0300 123 1110 - Drinkline isn't only for the person drinking. It's also for friends, partners, and family members who are worried about someone else.

Al-Anon - a support group specifically for people affected by someone else's drinking. More at al-anon.org.uk.

## If you want someone to try Solomon <a href="#h_oboh_try" id="h_oboh_try"></a>

The most you can do is tell them about it. Solomon works because the person using it has chosen to be there.
